I usually question myself about identity, attachment, boundaries both human and geographic, about collective and individual memory. In 2017, I became really interested on the subject of migration, developing different projects that continue to grow. This phenomenon that has existed since the beginning of humanity has somehow become massive and inevitable, a social and a political issue that challenges our minds on daily basis. A cause and also a consequence. The series "Migraciones" explore the idea of nomadism as a social mechanism, but more specifically for this brooches, I was interested in the different definitions of the word “inclusion” on themes such as mineralogy, sociology and mathematics. The choice of the shape inspired by the Venn diagrams, explores the ideas of intersection, union and containment used in the elementary set theory.
