Human has a habit to evaluate everything, also animals and nature. We label, grade and categorize; that way things will be easier to manage and control. We add human emotions and qualities to animals. Some animals raise our empathy but some we only see as tools and through their efficiency to us. We also look down species that we think are useless, harmful or bad. With these definitions we decrease the nature into a human scale of values.
