Wiebke Pandikow

There are garbage gyres slowly turning in the earth's major oceans made up of plastic waste floating in the water, discarded somewhere else thoughtlessly.

This piece is made from old plastic bags to curve like the waves at sea. Both a sculpture and a bracelet it will embrace the arm nicely, snugly and tightly enough to hardly let it move.

The arm has become a mere support for the thing around it as human lives have become mere supports to facilitate fast paced, single-use consume.
