With the project  ” comfort”  I wish to enlighten the duality in the material ashes. Both its function and its symbolism.
Worthless ashes and dust are the main material with references to a  perishable and at the same time valuable content.
The works are based on remains from a battle that  maybe alter into something  different,- a new start.  The burnt pieces can gain new value  through the  nutritious  qualities of ashes.  A feeling of catharsis and hope may appear.
I mix the white,innocent plaster with black and gray ashes  which is the start for perhaps new colours to appear.
